Profile anthropometric of young pertaining to school of the city of Lages
Abstract
To compare the anthropometric profile of adolescents of the feminine and masculine sex with age between 10 and 14 years, registered in a private school in the city of Lages - SC. Exploratory descriptive study, with a sample of 56 adolescents, between which 25 boys and 31 girls, between 10 and 14 years. The study was delimited in the variable related to the anthropometric profile, specifically in the weight, stature, BMI, relation waist/hip, measured of the hip and measure of the waist. In accordance with the presented results, can be concluded that the adolescents of the feminine sex had presented average age of 11.9 ± 1.15 years, they weighed on average 47.8 ± 10.6 kg, the stature on average was of 155.97 ± 8.08 cm, the index of corporal mass was on average 19.5 ± 3.39 m/Kg2, the average of the waist was of 66 ± 7.74 cm, the average of the hip was of 85.26 ± 8.44 cm, the average of the relation waist hip was of 0.774 ± 0.05 cm. The adolescents of the masculine sex had presented average age of 11.68 ± 1.03 years, weighed on average 47.28 ± 15.93 kg, the stature on average were of 154.68 ± 11.11), the index of corporal mass were on average 19.29 ± 3.95 m/Kg2, the average of the waist were of 67.44 ± 9.72cm, the average of the hip were of 82.8 ± 11.5, the average of the relation waist hip were of 0.815 ± 0.04. In accordance with the classification of the nutritional state the adolescents of the masculine sex, none was presented with low weight, 17 (68%) with eutrofia, 6 (24%) with overweight and 2 (8%) with obesity. In relation to the feminine sex, 2 (6.5%) had presented low weight, 23 (74%) with eutrofia, 4 (13%) with overweight and 2 (6.5%) with obesity.
