The traits personality associated with the development of obesity
Abstract
Obesity is disease silence and multifactorial disease, factors such as genetic inheritance, environmental and motivational and control mechanisms that modulate food intake and energy expenditure provide obesity installation in the human body, research in psychosomatic confirms that changes under emotions can significantly affect the physical body triggering changes in the synapses of hormones in the human body. In this sense the objective of this study and raise emotional conflicts and personality factors through the scientific literature and to associate with obesity in adults.For the research was carried out a literature review involving studies in the last five years of longitudinal, transactional, exploratory in databases in healthcare research, as Pubmed, Psycarticles (APA), Web of Science, Bireme, Lilacs and Google Scholar. The search terms were: obesity (obesity) and personality traits (personality traits) and emotional conflicts (conflict emotional) in the period 2010 to 2014. To investigate the articles published in this period the relationship of emotional conflicts and personality traits influences the development and installation of obesity in adults.The findings by reviewing the literature on the subject were: neuroticism, impulsivity, depression, low conscientiousness contribute to the development and maintenance of obesity.
